EXPRESS DENTURE REPAIRS
At Plymouth Denture Studio, we know that a broken denture can be a source of inconvenience and worry. That’s why we’re committed to delivering rapid denture repairs that get you smiling again as soon as possible. In fact, most repairs can be completed within the hour, and we often perform them while you wait!
Our denture repair service is designed with your convenience in mind. If your denture is damaged, cracked, or broken, we’re here to help. What sets us apart is that we craft all our dentures onsite, allowing us to also create temporary dentures quickly. Just like our standard repair service, and depending on the extent of the damage, we’ll make every effort to undertake your denture repair on the spot.
HOW LONG DOES A REPAIR TAKE?
The duration of the repair depends on various factors, such as the type of repair needed, the extent of the damage, or whether someone has attempted a DIY repair. Our experienced team will assess the damage, provide a cost estimate, and let you know how long it will take.
However, in the majority of cases, most denture repairs can be completed while you wait, often within just an HOUR.
DON’T ATTEMPT DIY REPAIRS!
We understand the urgency of having a functional denture, but we strongly advise against attempting DIY repairs with superglue or repair kits. While it might seem like a quick fix initially, it can render the denture irreparable or more costly to fix properly. Denture repair and crafting require specialised equipment, materials, and experienced technicians.
WHAT TO DO IF YOUR DENTURE BREAKS
If your denture breaks, resist the temptation to use superglue. It’s not intended for use in the mouth and can lead to further complications. Instead, keep all the pieces together and get in touch with us as soon as possible. We’ll provide guidance on the best time to visit us for professional repair.
PREVENTATIVE ADVICE: HANDLE WITH CARE
Denture breakages often occur during cleaning, so it’s advisable to clean your denture over a basin of water to minimise the risk. A denture may not initially shatter but may develop a small fracture line, compromising its strength and durability.
IS IT TIME FOR AN UPGRADE?
If your denture has broken into multiple pieces and has a history of recurrent damage, it may be a sign that it’s time to consider a new denture. At Plymouth Denture Studio, we don’t just repair; we offer relining, addition or replacement of missing or broken teeth, adjustments, and cleaning.
Important Note:
While we strive to deliver the highest quality repairs, please understand that we cannot guarantee repairs for dentures we did not originally create. Numerous factors, such as fit or age, may contribute to recurrent breakages. Rest assured, we’ll always provide advice and options when you bring in your denture for repair. Your satisfaction and smile are our top priorities!
